By choosing Data Guardian you are guaranteeing that all of your documents are being recycled in ISO Certified facilities. In 2017, Data Guardian destroyed and recycled over 1.5 million pounds of paper!

All plastic materials, micro-film, and micro-fiche are destroyed directly by Data Guardian staff in a local waste-to-clean energy incinerator. Not only keeping them out of landfills but also ensuring a clean and consistent source of energy locally.

All hard drive and metal materials are recycled at a local, R2 Certified recycling facility, ensuring these precious metals can be used for future generations without the harmful effects of mining and producing.

The average 4-drawer, metal filing cabinet can hold up to 300 pounds in paper full.¹ If you have 7 of these in your office, you have just over a ton of paper! By recycling just one ton of paper, you can save 17 trees, 380 gallons of oil, three cubic yards of landfill space, 4,000 kilowatts of energy, and 7,000 gallons of water! This represents a 64% energy savings, a 58% water savings, and 60 pounds less of air pollution!²

In 2017, based off these numbers, Data Guardian saved:

• 2,349 cubic yards of landfill space
• 13,315 trees
• 297,627 gallons of oil
• 3,132,920 kilowatts of energy
• 5,482,610 gallons of water

Those 13,315 trees Data Guardian saved absorb 195,808 pounds of carbon dioxide annually. Burning this same amount of paper would create 1,174,853 pounds of carbon dioxide!²
